In an effort to get you my deals early, I will post what I am going to purchase at Publix tomorrow, and what I got at Kroger yesterday. This way you have a chance to get the deals too!
What is Weekly Wrap-Up?
Weekly Wrap-Up is a post I do every Saturday to show you what I got this week for $40 for my family of four. My $40 a week budget includes all food, toiletries and cleaning supplies, it does not include eating out. (I do not include diapers and coffee in this budget, it is separate!)
Total Groceries OOP: $ 34.67 (approximately $10 at Publix on Sunday)
What great deals did you find this week? Be sure to post your trips and include links to your blog if you took an inventory or pictures.

Everytime I read your post I am so envious that you have choices in where you shop! We don’t have Publix or Kroger and there are always such great deals there! I have been somewhat successful at in-store coupons at HEB, but saving and Albertsons doesn’t really go together! I am determined to keep trying!! Thanks for all the great tips!!
When making the decision to give up my job and return to being a stay-at-home mom I decided that the trade off would be that I would be much more careful in how we (a family of four also) managed our money. I turned to your website for helpful tips and links to other valuable tools and websites. I check in daily, and did my first “big shop” at Target today. This combined with my large daily harvests from our garden which I freeze, make salsas and sauces, pickle, and jar (this week’s harvest included 5lbs Zucchini, Watermelon, Cantaloupe, Acorn Squash, Yellow Zucchini, Black Beans, Pepperoncinis, String Beans, Banana Peppers, Pear Tomatoes, Cherry Tomatoes, Golden Nugget Tomatoes, Roma Tomatoes, Red Peppers, Red Roasters, Okra, Plums, & Apples) have me feeling like I really made a wise decision for our family. Today’s Target shop yielded the following:
1 Box of Kashi’s Honey Sunshine Cereal
5 Dreyer’s Ice Cream Cartons (1.5 qt)
2 Kellogg’s Special K Blueberry Cereal
1 Box Kellogg’s Special K Chocolatey Pretzel Cereal Bars
1 Box Kellogg’s Special K Strawberry Cereal Bars
1 Kellogg’s Pop Tarts (12 ct)
1 Gallon of Umpqua milk
1 Box Kellogg’s Nutrigrain Bars
1 Schick Intuition Plus Quattro for Women
1 Schick Quattro Titanium Razor for Men
1 Hillshire Deli select Honey Smokd Turkey lunchmeat
1 Honey Nut Cheerios Cereal Cups
1 Kudos Variety Pack granola bars (10 ct)
2 Cheese Combos (Snacks) (Big Bags)
1 Starburst 14 oz bag
1 Dove Ultimate Visibly Smooth Deodorant
1 Renu Contact solution (16 oz)
2 Oral B Indicator Manual Toothbrushes
2 Glade Fragrance Collection Currants & Acai Soy based Candles (2 oz)
1 Air wick Fresh Waters Freshmatic Ultra Starter Kit
4 Glade Fabric & Air Odor Eliminator Sprays (22 oz)
1 New Nature’s Source Natural All-purpose cleaner
2 Transformer RPMs Toy cars
1 Yoplait Whip Yogurt
$10 Target Gift Cards (2- $5 cards)
Total Groceries: $ 146.01
Total Savings: $ 90.29 (62 %)
Total OOP: $55.72
I think the cashier failed to ring up the $1.00 off coupons for the ice cream and there were several (save now) coupons that I forgot to pull as well as the coupon for the Poptarts. Still I’m thinking that this was a pretty good shop.
In addition to the savings I already mentioned. We took our kids to the Home Depot workshop this morning and made the bean bag toss games for free, they also took home watercolor paints courtesy of Glidden, and to top it all off the four of us had breakfast for lunch with the help of Denny’s Grand Slam BOGO offer which included (1) large bowl of oatmeal (for my 3-yr old son), (2) eggs over easy, (1) plate of hashbrowns, and (2) full slices of whole wheat toast (for my husband), (2) regular pancakes, (2) eggs scrambled well, another plate of hashbrowns, and (2) honey oat pancakes (that me and my four-year old daughter shared). We took home tons of leftovers that will be reheated and eaten for breakfast again tomorrow…. all of this for $5.99!!!
Today was an awesome day thanks to the selfless advice of you and other wonderful women like you who provide this awesome service to the rest of us! Thanks so much! May God continue to bless and keep you and yours!!!
